The Development Stage is where the system takes shape as guided by the specification document and controlled by the Steering Committee. The client is fully involved throughout the building of the system, and can see each function in the specification document evolve.
Once the project has been approved/signed off, a purchase order referencing the quotation can be raised and development can commence.
The client will need to set up a Steering Committee and a Project Manager. The Steering Committee should consist of a representative/user from each key business division. These may include a Sales Manager, Account Manager, Production Manager, estimator etc. The Project Manager becomes the primary contact for Carbon Data Solutions and all requests for information will be passed via the Project Manager.
Development is directed via the Steering Committee and the Project Manager will ensure the most important aspects are addressed first.
The Carbon Data developer will hold regular project review meetings with the Steering Committee and Project Manager. This will ensure everyone is kept informed as to where the project is up to and what the next steps entail.
Typically the majority of development will take place off-site, with the fine-tuning at the client’s premises.
Throughout the Development Stage, the Steering Committee will closely monitor the project to ensure that Project Milestones have been achieved.
